Do you have excellent Electrical fault finding & diagnostic skills on equipment? Are you looking for your first role in Rolling Stock or are you already experienced?
We are looking for Rolling Stock Electrical Technicians to join one of our key rail clients based in Liverpool. The individual will be working with state-of-the-art trains and will be an integral part of the team.
This role has a salary of £56,000 pa (with shift allowance), rising to £59,600 pa (with shift allowance) after completing competencies. The role covers shifts 24/7, including nights.
The ideal individual will have had exposure to the Rolling Stock industry; however, candidates from other industries such as RAF, REME, Avionics, FMCG, Offshore, etc., will also be considered.
This is an electrical bias role, and individuals must have high-level fault finding capabilities.
Your Tasks
1. Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repairs required.
2. Provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces.
3. Assist and provide technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required.
4. Perform functional system tests on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems and conduct specific measurements as prescribed/required.
Your Profile
Essential:
1. Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds/BTEC level with Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic bias Level 3.
2. Extensive professional engineering experience in maintenance.
3. Knowledge and experience in modern technical systems and fault finding techniques, conducting and leading complex root cause investigations, and reading electrical/mechanical schematics competently.
4. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
