Emergency Department Senior Sister/Charge Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified emergency nurse to work in a fast-paced, dynamic emergency department. NMGH emergency department is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
We are looking for a forward-thinking, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our senior nursing team. The successful applicant will assist in the leadership of the department and the coordination of high-quality care within the clinical environment. Patient safety and experience are of paramount importance, and the band 7 team plays a pivotal role in delivering and monitoring this.
As part of the role, you are expected to lead and manage your own mentor team of staff within the department. This includes appraisals, mandatory training compliance, and ensuring a positive staff experience.

Main Duties of the Job
Within this role, the post holder will be expected to assess patients, devise care plans, and implement care. Provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role involves managing staff, rotas, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control, and budgetary management for the area. This role entails overall 24-hour responsibility for the Ward/Dept./Unit and will require enhanced communication skills to deal with the broad range of issues involved in day-to-day management.
