Role: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant

Salary: Starting at £14.45 per hour
Long-Term Teachers supports an outstanding special school located in the picturesque, seaside town of Dawlish. They are seeking an experienced, passionate and hard-working primary teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis.
About the role:
Starting as soon as possible, you will be working with a student in year 4 who has learning and communication difficulties. The student’s needs are sensory based and has recently joined the school. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth transition and facilitating his learning and development.

Who we are looking for:
* Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential. Experience working in care or personal experience with SEN allows for an excellent transition into this role
* Resilient, proactive and enthusiastic
* Excellent knowledge of special educational needs and strategies to support young people
* Excellent team-player
* Able to communicate effectively with students, staff and relevant professionals
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
* Driver would be preferred
