About The Role
We are looking to offer a Senior Internal Auditor the opportunity to join our expanding Group Assurance team, with the expectation to attend our office in Stevenage once a week.

The Group Assurance team consists of ten people with a collaborative, pro-active and inquisitive culture, working to improve the control environment and add value across the business.

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will lead operational and financial audits from planning through to reporting, with involvement in the overall Audit strategy.

As the Senior Internal Auditor, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Work as part of a team to deliver a broad range of financial and operational audits, from planning through to completion
2. Ensure the audits are completed to the required quality standards and timeframe, evaluating the effectiveness of controls and identifying themes, insights and exposures for consideration by management
3. Produce concise, high quality written reports and work papers
4. Follow audit actions through to completion
5. Contribute to projects to improve processes and systems, as well as other assurance work such as fraud investigations
6. Input into our strategy and the continued development of the Group Assurance function, including keeping up to date with wider developments in our industry and the Internal Audit profession.
What you’ll bring?
7. A recognised internal audit or accountancy qualification
8. Knowledge of auditing standards, principles and techniques
9. Experience in performing and managing audits, including conducting risk assessments, setting objectives and scope, information gathering, testing and sampling methods
10. Can gather, analyse and interpret information to draw suitable conclusions. Knowledge of data analysis and visualisation tools would be an advantage
11. Strong, clear and succinct communication skills with the ability to influence others, including senior management
12. Ability to independently and respond well to change, prioritising and managing a range of activities to deadlines
13. Have the highest standards of ethics and integrity in making judgements and is able to question others in an objective and constructive manner
