Founded by Olympians, Becky Adlington OBE & Steve Parry MBE, we currently have 28 venues nationwide under our Swim and Swim brands, with a strong pipeline of further growth this year. To underpin our growth and promote business excellence, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager to head up one of our Regional Business Units. This key role will ensure the highest standards of product delivery, safety and teaching excellence, alongside increased commercial performance and development. Role Description Reporting to our Head of Operations, as a Regional Manager you will be responsible for the overall performance of your region’s multi-site venues. The responsibilities of the role range from the day-to-day business operations through to P&L management, delivering strategic developments and opening new venues in your region. To succeed in this role, you will be well-versed in business skills and processes; you will be a competent leader who is able to provide guidance, mentorship and robust line management to a network of venue managers, and you will be forward thinking, organised and ready to share success and win as a team. The key success criteria of this role will be demonstrating increased commercial viability and success of your region collectively, whilst ensuring that every customer has an exceptional learn to swim experience. Key Responsibilities Effective coordination of day-to-day multi-site operations and sales activity within your region. Deliver commercial revenue generation, alongside plans to increase efficiencies across the region in line with business objectives and performance KPIs. Leadership and mentoring of a cohort of managers across your region’s venues and regular coaching of their wider operational teams, providing feedback to improve efficiency and quality, through regular performance reviews, combined with the identification of underperformance and the necessary interventions. Management of financial controls to achieve maximum operational profitability of your region’s venues. Continual monitoring of the quality and standards of Operational Excellence in all areas of delivery to ensure we achieve a premium customer journey for all swimmers. Monitoring of overall performance of the region by reviewing trends, identifying areas for improvement; inc. sales and prospect management, budget management, customer feedback, operational compliance and keeping across industry knowledge. Cohesive ways of working with regional Learning and Development teams, increasing quality of product and ensuring ongoing training and development programmes to meet benchmark standards. Ensure that your region has the right level of resources, with adequate workforce planning, collateral, equipment etc. Ensure all venue operations meet the relevant organisational and statutory policies including health and safety, safeguarding, data, HR and equality laws. Inspire your team through smart ways of working, an open and honest culture and create and maintain a positive environment for staff satisfaction and retention. Commit to continual improvement through feedback and seek opportunities to expand your skill set, knowledge and experience. Regular reporting and presentation of Business Information and insights to Head of Operations and wider Senior Leadership team. Knowledge Solid commercial understanding with experience of working with KPIs (E) Knowledge of the principles and standards that underpin excellent operational delivery in customer facing provision. (E) Knowledge of Health and Safety, Safeguarding, First Aid, Equality and Diversity and Data Protection. (E) Excellent knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems. (E) Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills (E) Sound financial acumen including knowledge of revenue/target setting and financial management packs (D) Qualifications in Business Management / Leadership and Mentoring or relevant CPD opportunities and vocational experience that would be of benefit. (D) Experience Proven experience of multi-site operations in a leadership or management role, preferably in the leisure, fitness, childcare or education industry (E) Experience of line managing and/or mentoring others and positively engaging and influencing people (E) Customer facing experience that demonstrates a committed approach to quality of standards (E) Experience of managing operational standards and projects (E) Ability to manage budgets effectively (E) Experience of working under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines.
