About this opportunity

Cumberland’s Programme Management Office is within the Business Transformation and Change Directorate and supports ways of improving, governing, controlling, and assuring investment and change within the Council and the way in which we deliver services.
This post sits within the Programme Management Office and is managed by Adults Social Care and Housing (ASCH) to support Community Health and Wellbeing within the ASCH transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
This high-profile role involves leading and co-ordinating the Council's ASCH transformation plans for Community Health and Wellbeing, focusing on an integrated approach to support individuals at home.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with staff, elected Members, partners, and Trade Unions to implement a comprehensive program that incorporates technology, intermediate care, Integrated Care Communities (ICCs), and various support services, focusing initially on the 'frail' population and incorporating population health management methodology and supporting public health agenda in local communities. The position emphasises data analysis and the integration of leisure, housing, and the environment to support people to live longer, healthier lives.
The role will work strategically alongside the Director of Delivery and Director of Adult Social Care and Housing to support a system-wide approach, reporting into the North Cumbria Partnership Board.
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking a skilled leader with experience of coordinating and managing organisation-wide transformation projects and delivering change in a large, complex organisation.
You should have experience of working with senior managers, including motivating and managing multi-disciplinary teams, people management, change management, strategic planning, and performance management; together with a track record of delivering service improvements and reducing service costs.
Experience in leading cultural and behavioural change to support new ways of working, enhancing customer experience and outcomes, is required. Strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills are also crucial, along with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences a clear commitment to excellent customer service.
A relevant degree, or equivalent training in related discipline or significant experience in a similar role is essential.
