Macildowie are actively seeking a Payroll Officer to join a well established business based in Derby DE24 due to exciting new projects and growth plans within the business. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday - working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm. Hybrid working available (3 days in the office and 2 days from home after training). Contract length is 12 - 15 months - contract in place due to a key project taking place - this role is to oversee the payroll function. Salary is between £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience - you will be working alongside the Payroll Manager We are looking for someone who has previous payroll experience, who is able to work with outsource payroll providers and has a high level of accuracy. Will be responsible for manually checking time sheets and ensuring all data in accurate. ideally you will have a good level of excel skills and knowledge of systems. Key Responsibilities and Duties include: End to end processing of company monthly payrolls via payroll provider Updating and maintaining payroll records Maintaining payroll spreadsheets Liaising with staff and management on payrolls related queries Maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports Responsible for checking all payroll reports to identify payroll issues before processing and conducting root cause analysis for correction Working closely with payroll provider to resolve payroll issues and ensure payroll is processed accurately Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations Working closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure monthly processes are aligned Calculating and processing of termination payments Processing increases and calculation of back pay Distributing month end reporting to site financial controllers Reconciling payments of Court orders, Pension and PAYE Company will be implementing a new ERP system which will involve HR platform, therefore this role will require support in data collation/extraction If you are interested in hearing more about this role, please apply with your most up to date CV and i will call you to discuss in more depth.
