We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Support Specialist to join our team within the Solutions division and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our sales efforts and driving our business forward. Based either in High Wycombe in the UK or in Italy, you will report into the Sales Director for Automation and Science Solutions. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to a team of sales managers located within the EMEA region. You will be involved in a range of activities from proactively finding new opportunities, assisting with sales and marketing activities, managing demo assets, writing tender proposals, and supporting trade shows and events.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Utilize a combination of market intelligence, online tools, and research skills to identify potential customers and develop a pipeline of sales opportunities.
2. Proactively engage with key stakeholders around the business including sales, marketing, manufacturing, product management, and licensing to help overcome bottlenecks and streamline operations.
3. Prospect new customers through lead generation, trade shows, follow-ups, and calls.
4. Work within a team to drive account planning to enhance customer centricity and satisfaction.
5. Identify the correct decision makers within a given business and communicate within the sales team to support focused sales activities.
6. Document all pertinent customer information and conversations into the CRM system.
7. Control internal orders and processes related to projects and large business opportunities.
8. Manage sales accounts with full sales responsibility in Europe, including occasional travel.
9. Participate in trade shows and large regional and partner events.
10. Manage CRM and price lists as well as logistics and planning for demo assets around EMEA.
11. Handle French and Italian tender qualification and proactive management of tender submission assets.
Job Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills:
1. Experience of five or more years in presales support internationally.
2. A minimum of five or more years’ experience in high technology capital equipment.
3. University degree in technical engineering is preferred.
4. Certifications in related technologies would be a plus.
5. Willingness to learn new technologies and business.
6. Fluent in English and French; additional languages such as German or Spanish are a plus.
7. Ability to combine a high degree of project management knowledge with strong sales and communication skills.
8. Talented in writing proposals, giving presentations on company products and services, performing system demonstrations, forecasting, and closing transactions.
9. Ability to identify, qualify, and capture long-term business.
10. Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software packages.
11. Ability to turn problems into solutions for the benefit of the company and the customer.
Core Competencies:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2. 2+ years' experience.
3. Experience in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of CRM, PBI, and SAP is a plus.
4. Commercial/business acumen.
5. Interpersonal relationship skills.
6. Fluency in French and English is mandatory; any additional language to support the EMEA region would be a plus.
Nature & Scope:
The position is supported by Teledyne FLIR Commercial Solutions with a direct report to the Science/Automation EMEAI Sales Director.
