Brief description This role requires an experienced, multi skilled Maintenance Officer who can offer a quality and efficient maintenance service to a corporate environment. This full time, permanent role offers a good mixture of planned and reactive maintenance and project-based work which will suit a proactive engineer with strong plumbing experience. The successful candidate will work alongside the Property Management team and other departmental functions to proactively improve the working environment in the most cost-effective manner. Purpose of the role The role of the Maintenance officer is to carry out and manage general day to day reactive and planned maintenance and project works as required to all buildings within the Paragon portfolio, ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard within Health & Safety regulations and providing an excellent working environment for all Paragon employees. Duties and responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General Electrical fault finding repairs / Plumbing repairs including leak repairs and actions arising from Legionella risk assessments Painting and decorating of office areas to include appropriate preparation and making good Completing basic carpentry tasks Changing/repairing locks Equipment repair/maintenance Internal and external building repairs PAT testing of electrical appliances Carrying out in-house planned maintenance tasks as per the agreed schedule and maintaining records as appropriate Carrying out reactive maintenance tasks as required within Health & Safety guidelines by responding to tickets requests raised via the Service Desk Database and ensuring tickets are accurately recorded and responded to within the service level time scales Carrying out minor office moves as agreed with the Office Move Coordinator Managing and assisting with various deliveries and light porterage Any other reasonable maintenance related duties About You Skills Positive can-do attitude with ability to research/source for a solution A good team worker Self-motivated and able to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines Excellent customer service skills and able to provide a good level of support to colleagues and customers Able to carry out general maintenance work including plumbing tasks Able to work within Health & Safety guidelines Excellent organisational skills Qualifications and experience NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical installation (2330) or; NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent qualification in plumbing and water systems to include L8 works Proven track record working in a maintenance team environment Full, clean driving licence Working hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch).
