The post holder will work alongside the operational team manager and a number of key stakeholders including the mental health care group and primary care mental health hub in line with transformation. The post holder will demonstrate the Trust's commitment to support development of a culture of high quality clinical practice. Achievement of clinical excellence, service user safety and regulatory assurance, ensuring that the dominant cultural narrative is one of service user centred care.
The post holder will practice at the forefront of care provision, leading the team to ensure the safe delivery of evidence based clinical interventions and practice.
Assist the team manager to lead on practice development, clinical governance, pathway development, audit and standards within the team.
To assist the team manager with data collection to manage the demands placed on the service area to inform and support service provision and the management for access and waiting times, facilitation of audits and feedback.
Main duties of the job
To continually demonstrate advanced clinical skills in practice and provide support and advice re-service development, pathway development and the delivery of care in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers, other agencies, across a number of teams/geographical areas.
Professional networking locally and nationally and disseminate/share information with other colleagues.
To lead and present complex, sensitive and challenging clinical and professional communication processes that may impact on service users, carers, staff, the team, the organisation, partner agencies and members of the public, where there are barriers to understanding.
Chairs/facilitates complex case reviews/meetings which may involve other agencies or specified organisational/professional forums.
To give highly specialist advice to MDT colleagues regarding the care and treatment of service users.
To supervise senior clinicians in the team, overseeing caseload management, ensuring quality of interventions, timely responses and regular communication with the MDT to assist case formulation.
The practitioner will provide a modelling role to all Care Co-ordinators; ensuring standards of care are met.
To hold a caseload of complex individuals within the CMHT service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Be a member of a recognised professional body and hold a current professional registration.
* Willingness to undertake or have completed Post Graduate qualification in DBT, CBT for Personality Disorder or equivalent.
* Any other relevant Post Graduate training.
Experience
* Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice.
* Demonstrable experience of working in the specific field where the post is held.
* Evidence of advanced practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
* Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation.
* Be able to effectively chair meetings.
* Highly developed clinical skills.
* Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of confidentiality.
* Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Care Programme Approach.
* Evidence of participation in research/audit process.
* Ability to work across team/organisational boundaries developing and maintaining multi-professional and multi-agency partnerships.
