IT TECHNICIAN
Location: Southend on Sea, Essex
Position: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for our client in Southend on Sea as an IT Technician.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Working as part of the desktop support team, managing requests logged by users across the business.
2. Performing routine tasks including resetting passwords, restoring files, and setting up new users.
3. Help manage local area network for all sites.
4. Carry out and complete assigned IT project work.
5. Testing and monitoring of IT resources.
6. Providing reports on IT service desk calls, assets, and backups.
Essential Skills / Experience:
1. Experience and knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365.
2. Windows 10 & 11 operating systems.
3. Service desk experience (1st / 2nd line support).
4. Experience creating and writing documentation.
5. Experience with backup technologies.
6. Excellent organisational skills.
Desirable Skills:
1. Good understanding of Microsoft and Mac systems.
2. Windows Server 2016, 2019 & 2022.
3. Microsoft Hyper-V platform.
4. Experience in working in a hybrid Azure AD/Entra ID environment.
5. Working with and creating PowerShell scripts.
6. Experience working with a regulated ISO environment.
