You'll support project teams on niche and high-profile schemes, from developing our benchmarking capabilities to leading the reporting and analysis of our clients' infrastructure costs.
Our Project & Programme Services team are looking to hire Associate Director - Estimator to support our growing business. Our Complex Infrastructure team works across three major markets:
* Infrastructure (Water, Defence, etc).
* Transport (Rail, Highways, etc).
* Energy (Nuclear, Renewable Energy, etc).
Your Purpose:
* Line manage and lead the development of a small team within the London area.
* Key focus on win work and development of new and junior talent.
* Support and lead on estimates from feasibility through to detailed design.
* Produce high-level order of magnitude costs and be capable of producing first principal estimates at the later stages.
* Be adaptable to work across multiple sectors and disciplines and have the drive to learn new skills.
* Advanced understanding of the typical methods of measurements used in the UK and the ability to complete a full take-off independently, including proficiency in estimating software.
* Comprehensive knowledge of indirect costs and other fees to complete an estimate.
* Strong stakeholder engagement, including working with engineers, clients, and authorities to complete an estimate.
* Review outputs of junior estimators and provide guidance on projects.
* Understand the role of a consultancy on projects and the purpose of budgetary estimates.
* Independently write a basis-of-estimate report to be reviewed by a director within the team prior to submission.
* Benchmark outputs against other market data to provide further evidence to clients.
* Support the wider business in estimating bids and technical development.
