Your future role We are seeking a Fleet Delivery Manager to oversee service delivery at Central Rivers Depot and associated outstations. You will ensure fleet availability, reliability, and performance targets are met while managing customer interfaces and acting as a key escalation point. Leading the Fleet Team, you will oversee maintenance schedules, wheel lathe operations, and contractual requirements, ensuring seamless service delivery. This role also includes budget responsibility and a strong focus on operational excellence. We’ll look to you for: Clear, Strategic and deliverable planning to ensure Customer Expectations and Contractual requirements are met for all Fleets maintained at Central Rivers Manage the maintenance schedules in accordance with the VMS and customer contracts Management of outstations to ensure compliance to all contractual obligations are met. Management of the interface and processes with the Non-Alstom Managed Outstations Management and governance of the Fleet Budget (Inc Outstations) Manage all aspects of the Maintenance Plan, Corrective activities and all other tasks on the fleet as required (Variation Orders, special checks, special investigations) Communicate fleet Availability, Reliability and all other Performance KPI’s to internal and external customers using applicable methods (face to face, presentations, performance reports etc) Ensure that fleet concessions are managed appropriately and that a safety-first approach is fostered In collaboration with the Depot Production team, lead the prioritisation of work at the Depot to meet train availability requirements. React to train failures and infrastructure related issues in conjunction with the Operator to minimise the impact to availability and reliability. Responsibility for the management of the Wheel Lathe, including managing Customer Contracts, planning and people Develop and maintain a forward plan identifying risks and opportunities such that the availability target is consistently achieved Responsibility for meeting APSYS targets for the Management and Fleet Management Metier Coordinate accordingly with other departments and lead any recovery plans when customer expectations are not achieved. Apply appropriate governance and input to the daily production and technical meetings Lead the reliability growth to ensure a continuous improvement approach is utilised Ensure defects are effectively managed against an agreed customer target. Manage the day-to-day contact with the Customer for operational related matters Promote continuous improvement ways of working within the fleet team, ensuring robust processes are in place. Minimize service disruption and manage the service delivery in accordance with Contractual SQDC requirements. Ensure compliance with EHS legal obligations, regulations, company policies, processes and initiatives Bid Support as required All about you We value passion and attitude over experience.
