Excellent communication skills are required to explain technical concepts clearly, and proficiency in using ticketing systems and maintaining accurate technical documentation is also important.
Responsibilities:
* As an End User Engineer, I will expect you to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues escalated from first-line support. You will provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring minimal downtime for users. Collaborating with junior team members to enhance issue resolution efficiency will be a key part of your role. You will escalate unresolved technical problems to advanced support teams while working towards long-term solutions. It will be your responsibility to maintain thorough documentation of technical processes, resolutions, and system configurations. You will assist with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of IT hardware and software while identifying areas for system optimization and implementing necessary improvements. Additionally, delivering training and mentoring to enhance the technical capabilities of the service desk team will be a valuable contribution. You may also work with external vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and software upgrades, providing remote and on-site support and handling user inquiries via phone and email.
