Hazel Ward is a dedicated Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit consisting of 10 intensive care beds for male service users of working age across the Hampshire area.
Our emphasis is on providing the service user with safe, person-centred care & treatment to manage their complex & longer-term needs within a safe and secure environment.
In joining us, you can expect ongoing support from a dedicated supervisor who will provide clinical support & facilitate your ongoing development & a wider commitment to ensuring that you can be the best Healthcare Support Worker possible. There is opportunity to further your training and we will provide access to training relevant to you and an opportunity to develop beyond this. Previous experience of working within a care environment or the NHS is desirable but not essential as you will be supported and given full training in the role.
We know how important a work life balance is & we are open to flexible working. There is an expectation to work unsocial hours & to meet the needs of the service, but we welcome & consider applications for part time working & condensed hours.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide physical and psychological care to service users in accordance with the specified plan of clinical care.
2. To carry out duties as designated by the person in charge.
3. To accurately record patient/service user information.
4. To provide support to relatives/carers.

Qualifications
* Literacy and numeracy skills
* Previous experience in a health or care setting
* NVQ Level 2 in Care
