Job Opportunity: Health Advisor at NHS 111 Service
Are you seeking a new challenge in 2025 where you can demonstrate compassion and make a difference in the Dorset community? Join us as a Health Advisor within our NHS 111 service! This role offers a chance to contribute to a patient-focused organization dedicated to providing responsive healthcare advice and assistance.
Role Overview:
* Be the first point of contact for users of the 111 service.
* Work in a busy, friendly environment with like-minded professionals committed to excellent patient care.
* Receive comprehensive support through structured training programs at our hub in St Leonards.
Training Details:
1. Full-time Course: Starting 30th June, 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 0900–1700, for 5 weeks.
2. Part-time Course: Starting 6th July 2025, 23 hours/week, Sundays 0900–1700 and Monday–Thursday evenings 1800–2200, for 7 weeks.
Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 19th May 2025.
Eligibility: Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
We value passionate individuals with good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service. Healthcare experience is not required, but the ability to handle calls courteously and efficiently is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle calls and contacts from the public and healthcare professionals requiring assistance and information.
* Maintain confidentiality and record information accurately.
* Participate in quality assurance and service improvement activities.
Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check, which Dorset HealthCare covers. Applicants with a valid DBS certificate via the update service can present it instead of a new check.
