Position: Residential Support Worker
Location: Nottingham/Nottinghamshire
Reporting to: Home Manager
Salary: £13.00 per hour, £90 per sleep-in, equivalent to £285 per day
Hours of Work: 45 hours per week including sleep-ins, Shift times: Start 10AM-11PM (sleep 11PM-8AM), Off shift the following day 10:30AM (3x per week). Lots of overtime available.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Proven experience in working with children with challenging behaviors, particularly in a residential care environment or another professional setting.
Staff We Are Looking For: Robust and resilient, will not give up on young people, will remain consistent in their approach, are understanding of the trauma and rejection our young people have faced, caring and willing to go that extra mile, has common sense, able to be creative and work as a team.
Skills: Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model. Confident in managing challenging behaviors. Flexible and able to work a residential care rota including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children's Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
Requirements:
* A full UK driving licence and access to a car to get to work.
* Experience as a support worker in residential children's homes.
* Willingness to do overnight sleep-ins as part of the role.

* Provide excellent unconditional care for our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and everyday needs are met.
* Taking the young person out on activities, family contact and education.
* Maintain the home environment, support each child's health and education, and ensure the home is clean and tidy.
* Provide a consistent, high-quality service that supports the assessed needs of young people and advocate for their well-being.
* Help children develop self-esteem, a feeling of safety, and personal strategies to deal with unhelpful behavior and thoughts, ultimately achieving their optimum potential.
* Promote a positive safeguarding culture and a strong teamwork ethic.
* Support a culture where people are valued and supported to make a difference to the lives of others.
* Support or lead a wide range of activities and daily tasks.
* Working within OFSTED and company standards and guidelines.
