Contracts Manager – Sports Pitch Construction (North of England)\nLocation: North of England (flexible base with UK travel)\nSalary: Dependent on experience\nJob Type: Full-time, Permanent\nAbout Us:\nWe are a leading specialist contractor delivering high-quality sports facilities across the UK & Ireland. Our projects range from grassroots community developments to elite and high-performance venues. These include artificial pitches, multi-use games areas (MUGAs), athletics tracks, and natural turf pitches.\nAs our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of multiple sports construction projects across the North of England and wider UK.\nThe Role:\nAs Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery — from pre-construction planning to final handover — ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Manage and deliver multiple sports facility construction projects concurrently\n * Coordinate site supervisors, subcontractors, and in-house installation teams\n * Oversee site logistics, programming, and Health & Safety compliance\n * Liaise with professional services, design teams, and local planning authorities (LPAs)\n * Monitor project progress, costs, and contractual requirements\n * Procure and manage supply chains, materials, plant, and equipment\n * Prepare, edit, and issue Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)\n * Conduct regular site visits, quality inspections, and team briefings\n * Provide regular updates to the senior management team and clients\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager in construction\n * Essential: Background in civils or external works\n * Highly Desirable: Experience in sports pitch construction\n * Ability to manage multiple live projects and travel across regions as required\n * Strong knowledge of construction methodology, programming, and HSE standards\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project\n * Excellent communication and leadership skills\n * Comfortable liaising with professional consultants and public-sector bodies\n * SMSTS or equivalent qualification required\n * Full UK driving licence\nWhat We Offer:\n * Competitive salary package (dependent on experience)\n * Company vehicle\n * Performance-related bonus scheme\n * Pension scheme and paid holiday allowance\n * Career development opportunities within a growing and supportive team\n * The chance to work on high-profile and community-based projects that make a lasting impact\nHow to Apply:\nIf you have the experience and drive to lead exceptional sports facility projects, we’d love to hear from you.\nClosing date 24/4/2025
