Exciting Opportunity: Planner for Major Infrastructure Projects in Scotland
Our client, a well-established leader in civil engineering and infrastructure, renowned for its dedication to staff development, low turnover rates, and focus on renewable projects, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner. This role is integral to the planning and delivery of a major highways project in North Scotland, encompassing key elements such as earthworks, drainage, access tracks, structures, and utilities.
Based at the head office in North Lanarkshire with regular site visits to North Scotland, the position includes a company car and subsistence package.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Stage:
Collaborate with the Planning Lead or Bid Manager to ensure all programmes adhere to planning standards and guidelines.
Define the planning scope, constraints, and key contract requirements.
Identify key quantities and factors impacting schedules.
Work closely with Operations and Estimators to establish construction outputs and working hours.
Develop methods of construction, sequencing, and commissioning alongside the Operations and Bid teams.
Prepare critical planning documents, including programmes, planning philosophy, presentations, and reports.
Create tender programmes and supporting information in line with tender specifications.
Reconcile resources, using resource-levelling techniques as necessary.
Liaise with third parties to resolve potential issues.
