Here at Equal Education Partners, we are recruiting for a KS3 Science Teacher to join a fantastic school with over 1300 students on roll. The school itself has been commended for its facilities for both staff and students; holding an “outstanding” award overall. Teaching staff at the school aim to ensure that all learners are supported to allow them to reach their full potential, with a focus on the importance of identifying any learning needs to create and deliver targeted sessions.
The role is to start at the end of April, and is confirmed until the end of the academic year with the potential for this to be extended.
Requirements
You will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, mainly Biology, to classes including pupils with a range of abilities.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
* Planning and preparation of lessons.
* Attending staff meetings.
* Asses pupil work, track progress and make successful interventions where needed.
You will need to be a Qualified Teacher, be registered with the EWC and hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to undergo a check. You will have a passion for teaching, and have strong classroom management skills as well as being punctual and organised.
Alongside the above, you will be responsible for providing, monitoring and evaluating the use of resources related to KS3 and KS4 classwork.
Benefits
This role will pay a minimum of £160 per day, with the potential for this to be increased depending on experience.
