Job Description
Salary up to £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits
As a Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering assurance test programmes to evaluate exposure to regulatory Compliance and Conduct risk, and assessing customer outcomes.
This role is part of the Compliance Monitoring team, providing independent second line assurance across regulated entities under the leadership of the Group Head of Compliance, delegated by the Chief Compliance Officer.
We are looking for someone to:
1. Lead the development of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, analyzing and evaluating risks to identify areas requiring assurance.
2. Manage and oversee the completion of monitoring activities in line with the compliance monitoring schedule.
3. Design and deliver second line monitoring reviews focused on regulatory and conduct risk topics, following established methodology.
4. Ensure monitoring independently assesses the firm’s delivery of good customer outcomes.
5. Produce MI reports on assurance activities and progress for Committee and Board reporting.
Qualifications
* Significant experience as a Compliance Monitoring Manager, with a proven track record of delivering high-standard monitoring reviews.
* Extensive knowledge of the Financial Conduct Authority and its supervisory approach.
* Experience working within a mortgage-regulated entity.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and conduct risk, with ability to assess and size risks appropriately.
* A proactive, inquisitive mindset for horizon-scanning and lateral thinking about potential consequences for the company.
