Role: Production Engineer Location: Kidderminster Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 37hr work week Wright Staff Recruitment are currently representing a well-structured and growing company, which develops, manufactures, sells, and maintains Heavy Duty Vehicles. Due to this, they are looking for a Production Engineer to be based at their workshop in Kidderminster. The candidate would be responsible for providing engineering support and information to the Production departments. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Support Production departments with technical drawings using Solidworks/AutoCAD Work with Production to improve processes and efficiency Use Mechanical Design techniques to stress test components and assemblies using Solidworks Create and modify 3D assemblies to meet customer and production needs Create and design new parts and solutions to solve build issues Support 3rd party manufacturing suppliers with spec and build queries Support the Engineering Manager on ongoing and new Projects Support the Engineering Manager on product development Ensure compliance to industry standards and regulations relating to the products manufactured by the company Undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business Person Specification: Mechanical Engineering Qualification(s) is essential Minimum 1-year commercial experience Working knowledge of Solidworks is essential Good organisational skills, time management and administration skills Good communication skills Ability to work both independently and as a team meeting deadlines where needed Ability to solve problems and follow projects through to conclusions AutoCAD 2D advantageous A working understanding of auto-electrics, hydraulics and chassis' would be advantageous Salary will be discussed depending on experience of the individual.
