Breast Care Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Breast Nursing Team. Knowledge Requirements
* Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for individual patients, using the nursing process, relevant nursing models and appropriate research
* Able to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and practice based on research
* Demonstrate broad professional awareness and application to practice in Breast/cancer care.
* Knowledge of NHS Breast Screening Programme
Qualifications/Academic/Craft/Professional
* NMC Level One Registered Nurse
* Evidence of continued personal and professional development
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to complete relevant training courses
* Nursing Degree or working towards
Further Training
* Evidence of further specialised study/knowledge
* Audit
* Communication course
* Teaching and assessing
* Excellent knowledge of IT systems
* Advanced Breast Care Course
* Counselling Course / Advanced Communication Course
Experience
* Experience of working with cancer patients (inpatient or outpatient setting)
* Experience of working with breast cancer patients.
* Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and liaison with Primary Care Teams
