The Royal Papworth anaesthetic team are seeking dynamic Band 5 ODPs or Registered Nurses with anaesthetic qualifications to join our team. Picture yourself in our state-of-the-art cardiothoracic suite, boasting six theatres, along with Cath labs and thoracic recovery units.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide pre-surgery assistance to patients, including preparation of specialised equipment and drugs, ensuring their safety and comfort during anaesthesia.
2. Support surgical procedures by facilitating communication between teams and ensuring safe patient transfer post-surgery.
3. Effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and caregivers, adapting communication methods to individual needs.
4. Maintain accurate records and provide feedback.
5. Adhere to regulations and procedures, prioritise and organise workload efficiently, and continuously update knowledge and skills.
6. Understand patient care principles, anatomy, physiology, and apply problem-solving skills in clinical emergencies.
7. Stay updated with research findings, contribute to quality assurance programs, reflect on clinical practice, and adapt to new developments.
8. Involve colleagues in planning and organising work, provide clear instructions and support, and address poor performance effectively.
9. Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain confidentiality, promote health and safety, identify and address hazards, and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Qualifications
Qualified nurse with a recognised anaesthetic course.
