Job: IPC & Electronics Trainer\n\nLocation: Leeds or Cirencester\n\nThe Electronics Group (EGL) is the largest independent IPC and Electronics training provider in the UK. We train professionals from all walks of the electronics and manufacturing industry, from Operators and Quality Inspectors to In-House Trainers, and Rework Specialists to Design Engineers. \n\nWe work with businesses of all sizes from small micro-SME's to globally recognised conglomerates, representing all areas of the electronics industry including Military & Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, OEM, CEM, Oil & Gas, Medical… and everything in between!\n\nThe Electronics Group are the only UK based Authorised IPC Training Centre to operate two training centres in the country.
Our original training centre, and Head Office, is in West Park, Leeds. Our newest addition is in Cirencester. Both training centres offer practical and non-practical accredited and non-accredited training courses.\n\nTo complement our training solutions, we also offer technical inspection services, recruitment, and consultancy services.\n\nOur IPC and Electronics Trainers are responsible for delivering IPC accredited training as well as our own bespoke skills-based electronics courses.
Courses can be delivered at either training centre, remotely via Teams, or at customers facilities. Travel to customers sites throughout the UK will be required with overnight stays.\n\nWe pride ourselves on offering the best services to industry professionals, as well as those looking to enter the world of electronics. We will provide necessary training and development to the successful candidate.\n\n** This role can be based out of Leeds or Cirencester but due to the travel required to multiple sites a full driving licence and own vehicle are required **\n\nIPC Trainer Requirements\n\nStrong hands-on knowledge of PCBs and PCBAs - Essential\nHands-On experience of soldering PTH and SMT components - Essential\nKnowledge of IPC\nKnowledge of electronics assembly and manufacturing processes\nExperience with cable and wire harness assemblies - Desirable\nExcellent written and spoken English - Essential\nExperience of delivering high quality training - Desirable\nConfident in speaking in front of groups of people\nGood IT SkillsIPC Trainer Responsibilities\n\nTrain and provide support to delegates and clients\nSet up and administer training classes\nTrain and educate in IPC, ESD, Soldering, Wiring Skills\nPromote a safe working environment\nMaintain all training records\nManage and collaborate course feedback\nMaintain the high quality of training and service expected from The Electronics Group\nAssist with customer workshop jobs inc.
