Banbury – Covering The Midlands and Birmingham
£42,847 - £45,102 per year

We are seeking a qualified Fire Electrician to join our Fire and Security team, based in Banbury, covering sites across The Midlands and Birmingham.
The role involves mainly lone working, carrying out small works, remedial works, and occasional planned preventative maintenance as required. It is a fully mobile role across Banbury, with a company van and all necessary tools provided to ensure properties are compliant and safe.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out fire servicing, repairs, and installations in compliance with relevant regulations to ensure property safety and compliance
* Providing clear, accurate, and timely updates on work progress and advice to customers
* Maintaining detailed daily work records
* Maintaining systems such as fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire shutters, and curtains
* Performing remedial works on fire and life safety systems up to 240V, including emergency lighting
* Resolving issues or initiating solutions, keeping customers informed per contractual and procedural standards
* Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and managing stock levels
* Responding effectively to complaints and service breakdowns to meet customer expectations
Skills and experience required:
* Qualified to 18th Edition - 2nd Amendment, BS5839-1, NICEIC Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems Units 1, 5, 6, Initial Periodic Inspection and Testing 2391, NVQ Level 3 in Core Electrics, BS5839-6, or currently undertaking these qualifications. Original certifications must be presented during interview; copies and CSCS cards are not accepted.
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation application
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Understanding of fire safety issues
* Valid UK driving licence for company vehicle use
