We are excited to offer a full-time post for a Staff Nurse to work as part of a nursing team for Looked after Children within Leeds Community Health Trust.
You will be working in our friendly and supportive nursing team caring for children and young people who are looked after by Leeds city council, alongside their families and caregivers, to maximize their health potential and address health inequalities. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and monitoring the delivery of healthcare for looked after children and young people, ages 0-17.
You will work both directly and indirectly with children, young people, families, and carers to improve health outcomes. The team will work from Kernal House, Killingbeck Drive, Leeds LS14 6UF, which is a shared base with children's social care. Day-to-day working will require excellent organizational and planning skills, as you will have some responsibility for managing your own diary. As a team, we want to encourage development within the role, and there will be opportunities to develop expertise in specific areas. Applicants will need at least 2 years of post-registration experience and must demonstrate knowledge of looked after children and safeguarding.
