Are you passionate about care and enjoy training? You may come from a registered manager background, be working in the NHS or Health and Social Care sector. This post is offered as part-time (3 days per week) Bluebird Care Totton, New Forest, Portsmouth and Southampton are looking for an experienced individual who enjoys training to a high standard. You will possess and be responsible for keeping your own knowledge of legislation current and up to date in line with CQC (Quality Care Commission) standards. Successful candidates, must be able to drive and have regular use of their own car. You must also have unrestricted permissions to work in the UK The successful Training Officer will hold a recognised training qualification/s preferably PTLLS, or Train the Trainer certification, a minimum QCF Level 3, ideally hold QCF level 5 (or working towards level 5) in Health and Social Care. Our training is predominantly delivered within the Totton branch, however, you could be required to deliver training in any of our other offices across the New Forest, Portsmouth and Ringwood offices. You will be working alongside other staff members specifically trained to deliver internal training. You will need to keep all care managers up to date about changes in legislation as well as Training Officer Key responsibilities To develop and implement a training strategy and programme so that: The newly recruited staff are suitably qualified to satisfy the immediate and future needs of our Home Care business To develop interesting topics for training outside the normal spectrum; like dementia Care workshops, Parkinson's disease training, diabetes care training etc and get more involved with engaging with district nurses training who could come into our business to present. Training Officer Duties: · Develop and lead on the training strategy for the Bluebird Care offices · Manage and implement individual and business training plans. · Plan, prepare and deliver induction training and annual updates for care assistants, supervisors and coordinators. You will be acting as a mentor and be instrumental and inspirational to encourage individual performance and to do this you need to bring with you an element of fun and energy to maintain interest in all areas care and non-care bringing out the very best and developing strengths · Assist line managers to solve specific training requirements either on a one-to-one or group basis · Manage a training budget and pre-plan the training needs going forward · Build positive working relationships with staff and other professionals in the field of Health and Social care · Liaise with Recruiters / Supervisors / Registered Managers to make sure staff receive appropriate induction training and ongoing support and to address any performance-related matters · Assist in the development of non-vocational courses to help develop our Managers and the talent of tomorrow. - Taking part in the Tier 2 on-call rota, which is usually 1 in every 5-6 weekends. You will be given additional days of annual leave for participating in this. What are we looking for in a Training Officer? We are looking for an inspiring individual who can engage with people and has the wealth of experience to guide them through their training. Our Trainer needs to be extremely organised and diligent to follow through the business processes and deal with their KPI's. We work with an online HR system (BambooHR) and Care planning systems (PASS for Care), so you need to be very adaptable working with tablets and IPads to teach people in a classroom environment. The Training Officer will need to be confident, enthusiastic, fun,energetic and have the training qualifications for Train the trainer in all aspects of the CQC standards, so basic life skills, moving and handling are imperative. Strong organisational skills and processes Minimum of Level 3 and having worked in the Health and Social care sector. Strong CQC knowledge base. The job is part-time and requires an independent individual. Based currently out of our Totton branch.
