Sutton Health and Care delivers (SHC) services to the population of London Borough of Sutton.
The Sutton Borough Clinic Reception team provide an efficient administrative service across all the Community Services Division.
We are looking for a Patient Services Administrator to cover our clinic receptions throughout the Sutton Borough. This includes the Jubilee Health Centre, St Helier Hospital, Green Wrythe Lane, Roundshaw and Robin Hood Lane Clinics. Clinic locations may change in the future. Your role will also include covering back-office duties when required. You will travel and work at all of the above clinics when required.
You will be required to work 7 ½ hours per day (8 hours with lunch), Monday to Friday inclusive. The exact start and finish times will be agreed in advance but will fall within the hours of 8am to 6:00pm to meet the needs of the service, with an unpaid break for lunch.
Your role will be to provide a patient focused service by responding to queries on the phone from patients, referrers, staff and managing appointments and queries across the division. The post holder will also cover within the Administration Centre when required. The Administration Centre processes large amounts of referrals on behalf of various services and manages waiting lists.

Clinic Reception & Patient Services Administrator
Your duties will include meeting and greeting patients at reception, booking patient appointments on our IT systems, processing referrals, dealing with patient queries on the telephone, sending letters, emails, texts and producing consultant and GP letters. Providing clinicians with administrative support when required.
You will have previous experience of working in a customer care or patient care role, as well as experience of working in an administration role or an office environment. Previous nhs and EMIS experience desirable but not essential. You should have well developed communication skills with customers or patients and be able to provide an initial response to patient complaints. You will also be able to prioritise your work, use your initiative and meet deadlines.
The role is varied, and you will use a variety of skills but ideally you should be a good communicator with a high level of customer service and be able to communicate with a diverse range of people.
