Production Technician

WIKA Instruments in Sevenoaks provide pressure, temperature, level, flow, force and related calibration instruments. Our facility includes an engineering services department with repair, modification and calibration capability as well as incorporating the TC Fluid Control, level manufacturing capability and our ATEX approved electrical temperature manufacturing line. We are now looking for an additional production technician to join our specialised team to work on existing and new product development.
Your Activities:
1. Carry out the manufacture, modification, repair and assembly of Electrical Temperature products as detailed by production orders, within the agreed delivery dates and in accordance with company process.
2. Assist in repairs and refurbishments of customer returns and generate detailed reports when required.
3. Calibrate and certify the complete WIKA ETM product range to the specified accuracy when required.
4. Ensure that the ETM Procedure and Work Instructions are adhered to.
5. Maintain traceability and quality of all materials used throughout the manufacturing process.
6. Actively contribute to the company’s 5S culture and ideals.
7. Maintain quality in line with respective QA procedures and adhere to the Health and Safety policy of the business.
Your Profile:
1. Production technician / repair technician / assembly technician / manufacturing technician / manufacturing engineer (or similar).
2. Experience of working in an industrial manufacturing / engineering environment using raw materials and small components.
3. Apprentice trained engineer or similar hands-on training (BTEC / HNC / HND for example).
4. Able to interpret technical drawings.
5. Knowledge of general workshop machinery and hand tool operation; welding, turning and brazing would be beneficial.
