What you'll do. The Finance Assistant role is essential to the smooth running of the finance department and will play an integral part in the team. You will oversee all administration regarding purchases and sales and support the Financial Controller with general finance tasks. Experience in SAGE and a passion for learning are essential. Your responsibilities will include: This list is not exhaustive, but below is an overview of the typical tasks the role will entail. Purchases Post Invoices to SAGE, where required, and post into the project management system and reconcile jobs Journal invoices to the correct month, adding to accruals/prepayment schedule Work with the projects team to identify and post courier costs Expense management: Upload all credit card statements, approve tagged transactions and check against the project management system. Manage finance data exports by thoroughly checking, coding and preparing to import into SAGE Check off statements as they arrive and deal with any queries Ensure final VAT receipts/invoices are gained Allocation of payments against invoices, ensuring ledgers are accurate Assist with research/ sourcing of goods online and general project admin Sales Receive client POs and raise invoices in the project management system for the project team where required, and SAGE Journal invoice to correct month, adding to accruals/prepayment schedule Allocation of receipts against invoices, ensuring ledgers are accurate General/Nominal Daily bank reconciliation Collate payment runs Filling What you'll need to succeed. Experience in SAGE Experience in administration Good level of finance experience Good knowledge of general business procedures Attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors Good MS Excel skills Organisational and time-management skills Must be fluent in English to a professional, business-level The benefits.
