Behaviour Mentor (One-to-One)
£88 - £110 per day (via PAYE)

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work 1:1 with students with SEN to promote positive behaviour, enhance emotional well-being, and help them build strong social skills. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to create tailored support plans that enable students to thrive both academically and personally.
The school will provide comprehensive training, so experience with complex and medical needs is not essential, but an aspiration to enable students to learn and achieve meaningful independence is.
You will be responsible for enabling the student’s learning, promoting their independence and helping them achieve. You will need to be a confident advocate, recognising the potential of the individual and championing their needs along with possessing exceptional communication skills and patience.
The role is based in a Foundation Special School with residential facilities for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties.
Shifts available are 07:30-14:30 and 12:30-21:30.
Requirements
* GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent)
* An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
* Moving and Handling qualification
* Relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
