The Company We are assisting a food distribution business based in Loughborough in finding a Logistics Planner to join their organisation, due to exceptional year on year growth. The Role - Logistics Planner Reporting to the Logistics and Contracts Manager the new Logistics Planner, will be responsible for all aspects of operational delivery across all sites. Working with the planning team they will also deliver exceptional customer service to all external production sites. Responsibilities Include: Coordinating production plans for one or multiple products Planning operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Determining vehicle resource and raw materials Liaising with 3rd party logistic providers Be the central point of communication. Updating the trading board as required Efficient scheduling of vehicles and deliveries Regular communication with all sites and Logistic partners Add value to orders when opportunities arise. Adhere to Company Health & Safety policy and all other Company policies. Dealing with site complaints The Hours Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm The Right Candidate To be successful in interviewing for the role of Logistics Planner, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following on their CV: A minimum of two years experience working within a planning or logistics environment Experience in the food distribution industry Negotiation skills Confident interpersonal & social skills Pro-active & excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner. IT literate with particular knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word CRM and data/order-entry software experience. Daily commutable to Loughborough ADZN1_UKTJ
