Job title: Personal Assistant.
Location: Bridgend, Bridgend County.
Hours of work: 12 hours per week, ideally weekdays over 3 days, Hours to be worked flexibly.
Rate of pay: Meets RLW Requirements £12.75
Introduction:
A committed, caring, and flexible personal assistant is required to support a 32-year-old gentleman, who is a wheelchair user, in the community. Assistance is required to get in and out of the vehicle. He enjoys trips to the cinema, going out for food and shopping.
Main Duties:
Supporting the gentlemen while out in the community, ensuring his safety, pushing him around in his wheelchair and assisting him getting in and out of the car.
Taking him out into the community to places of interest, including the cinema, shopping, and restaurants. While building a caring relationship with him.
To carry out any other reasonable requests the employer may make.
Person Specification
Caring honest, responsible, reliable, and patient with a good sense of humour.
Reliable and flexible with good timekeeping.
Able to maintain confidentiality and be aware of privacy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A full and clean driving license and use of a car is required. You must have business use on your insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.
