Main duties of the job The post holder will be part of the Research Data and Statistics Unit (RDSU), which provides expert support and advice relating to the full range of statistical and analytical aspects of the Trust's clinical research and audit programmes. The focus of the role is involvement in all aspects of study design, protocol development, database design, data handling, trial management and statistical analysis. The majority of the time will be spent on the analysis of research and audit data, ensuring that the appropriate statistical techniques are used, and presenting and explaining the results to users in a clear, comprehensible manner. The post holder will play a role in supporting the statistical requirements of the Royal Marsden Clinical Trials Unit (RMCTU). The post holder will be expected to have management responsibilities of junior statisticians within the team and will be responsible for ensuring that they are trained to a competent level having an agreed development plan in place.
