What the Job Involves Your role involves identifying the needs of children and families referred and negotiating service delivery. You will work alongside professionals and agencies to assess children in need and conduct child protection inquiries. Responsible for a duty caseload, including single assessments and short-term work, you participate in the Duty system weekly to address child protection concerns. You will set goals and strategies with supervision, evaluate resource demand, and highlight shortfalls. Your duties include maintaining accurate records, promoting child engagement, ensuring access to translation services, and contributing to service development through team meetings. You will also cover team members' work as needed, with additional duties based on your experience and competencies. As a Senior Practitioner, you will deliver training, support students and newly qualified staff, and handle more complex family cases.
