Are you a proficient Claims Handler/Adjuster looking to develop your existing experience with one of the largest insurers in the world?
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our Aviation team based in our London office.
The main purpose of this role is to produce high quality work product from initial contact through to conclusion of the case. A major focus of the role will be to work with the existing Senior Claims Adjusters & Executive Claims Adjusters and contribute to the success of the team.
Key relationships will include: External – clients, brokers and service providers and co-insurers; Internal – Aviation Claims team, in London and Glasgow, Aviation underwriting team and the wider Claims Department.
The Claims Adjuster will be expected to proactively manage a portfolio of Aviation claims.
Key responsibilities:
1. To negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This will involve brokers, policy holders, other insurers, loss adjusters and lawyers.
2. Self-management of own caseload to ensure timely settlement of files, accuracy and timeliness including control of vendor expenses
3. To work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards and focus on service delivery across the team for all internal/external client groups and stakeholders. To fulfill compliance and regulatory requirements (including complaints procedure).
4. To act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met and to work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained
5. To develop and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts through providing timely and clear responses to correspondence received.
6. To provide general assistance and support to senior claims adjusters, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise
Requirements & Experience:
7. Good standard of general education (including standard grades/GCSEs/Highers/A-Levels or equivalent in English & Mathematics). Progress towards Insurance Certification preferred.
8. A minimum of 3 years’ experience within the insurance industry, preferably in the Aviation sector.
9. Experience of specific business line with associated protocols and a good awareness of general insurance functions
10. Customer services experience demonstrating a professional and high standard in customer care
11. Proven experience of prioritising and working to SLAs
12. Good listening and communication skills
13. Awareness of Regulatory Compliance as it applies to the Insurance Industry
14. Experience with market systems preferred.
