About The Role:
OCS is currently recruiting for a Finance Director to lead key aspects of our UK&I finance function such as Audit, Statutory Accounts, tax, M&A integration and ERP roll out and transformation. Reporting into the UK&I CFO and working closely with the UK&I commercial director, Finance Director - Corporate and our Group FD, the post holder will be responsible for delivering a successful integration of the finance function via the ERP roll out and creating a best in class team with systems and processes which can scale alongside the anticipated growth of the business.
The OCS Business has significant growth ambitions both organically and through targeted acquisitions. It is critical to ensure that a strong control environment is maintained and that the business has a foundation of governance and process to streamline all activities. In addition to having a key voice on the systems infrastructure project, this senior position will be accountable for the financial governance of the business and all processes and compliance to support this.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Primary focus is to deliver the successful roll out of Microsoft Dynamics which is well progressed but still has a significant roadmap to achieve.
2. Lead UK&I External audit. Ensure compliance with all external audit and tax compliance requirements, facilitating a seamless audit process and maintaining a strong control environment. This includes responsibility for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of the Statutory Accounts.
3. Lead on all finance integration workstreams for future acquisitions.
4. Inspire and connect with colleagues at all levels, instilling a culture characterised by collaboration, continuous improvement, and a commitment to high performance.
5. Develop and nurture talent, upskilling capability and contributing to the development of the next generation of leaders across the organisation.
6. Responsible for UK&I tax compliance and reporting, including SAO, CCO, Quarterly payment on Account, VAT and Tax Returns.
7. Create a culture of continuous improvement, driving for a best-in-class control environment ensuring efficiency, process optimisation and accuracy of all data and reporting.
8. Coach, inspire and motivate the Finance team, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration and innovation.
9. Support with any company restructuring projects and associated accounting activities.
10. Take ownership of the UK&I system infrastructure ensuring clear business processes for optimisation, automation and efficiency of data capture.
11. Ensure robust processes for all data management including a clear master data approach.
12. Spearhead the finance aspects of the continuous entity rationalisation plan.
13. Responsible for the financial governance of the UK&I business, including working alongside the Group FD to maintain accounting policies.
14. Ensure timeliness & accuracy of all data produced across finance with sufficient review and oversight of all balance sheet areas across the UK&I business.
15. Work closely with the UK&I Commercial Finance Director and Finance Director - Corporate in developing a best-in-class finance function.

Working Arrangements
Core working hours for this position are from 9.00 am until 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility will be expected regarding hours of work, to suit the needs of the business and team.
