Job Description
As part of our plans to evolve and grow our business we are now looking for a Commercial Manager within our Direct Insurance Business area.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the distribution, performance, and development of your assigned Product/s. You will drive the strategic direction of the proposition and support the Trading Director in the delivery of the P&L budget delivery against income and expenditure targets.
The role involves analysing market size, trends, and customer behaviour to support the development of existing products and to oversee the launch, implementation, and administration of new ones while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Underwriting, Marketing, Digital, Operations, and the Contact Centre.
This is a hybrid role and the candidate would ideally come to an office 2-3 days a week but this is flexible. Offices include Cheltenham and Stevenage.
Some of the responsibilities of this role include:
* Develop and execute the overall product strategy for the business, aligning it with the business segment’s goals and market trends.
* Conduct regular analysis of product performance, including income, profitability, customer retention, market share, and loss ratios, making data-driven recommendations for product enhancements.
* Oversee product performance versus company targets.
* Develop robust sales plans to achieve new business and retention targets, ensuring there is sufficient lead volume and that the proposition has multi-dimensional distribution channels.
* Review the suitability of our products in line with the market and competition on an ongoing basis, driving enhancements to existing propositions and recommendations for new product launches.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the platform, maintaining effective communication and influence to ensure the business strategy is delivered.
* Understand the internal and external networks and build lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers, and suppliers.
* Ensure your product offering has adequate systems and controls in place to manage risks to the firm and comply with the firm’s obligations under the Ardonagh Accountability Framework.
* Work in synergy with others to produce optimum results for Towergate and the wider business, including strategic long-term thinking on all Trading aspects.
What we are looking for:
* Strong commercial leader with a commercial focus and adaptability, able to embrace and respond positively to change.
* A well-organised individual with core skills in time management, organisation, prioritisation, and the ability to manage multiple issues and challenges simultaneously.
* A robust understanding of business processes and performance levers.
* An excellent verbal and written communicator.
* Ability to demonstrate leadership in driving new ideas and innovation with a highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with teams and stakeholders across the business at all levels.
So, what are you waiting for? Apply today and one of our team will be in touch.
