Job summary
The Digital Marketing Executive supports the Marketing Manager for Health in planning, executing, and optimising our online marketing efforts and provides critical support and digital expertise for the Skills for Health, and The Workforce Development Trust brands. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, this role requires a passion for marketing and a strong understanding of digital channels.
As part of the central marketing function, you will support business teams across the organisation in the promotion of our brands, products and services, helping to drive awareness and engagement within our target markets. You will be a team player, who is comfortable working both with colleagues or independently to achieve your goals.
With demonstrable experience of digital channels, you will have experience of managing both paid and organic advertising, be familiar with a variety of digital platforms (such as WordPress, MailChimp etc), and be comfortable reporting and recommending KPI’s. Experience of content strategy and SEO is essential.
What is the impact of the role on the business?
This role is crucial in supporting the Skills for Health brand to achieve its aims. As our digital marketing expert, this role provides insight and guidance on how we best present the brand in the digital space. With many of our customers coming to us due to our strong brand reputation, ensuring the high quality articulation of our purpose, as well as our products and services, is key to our success. This role will provide vital support to the Marketing Manager for Health in delivering strategic marketing plans that help grow the brand, enabling us to better support the NHS, and wider healthcare services within the UK.
Key business skills necessary for the role?
Digital marketing experience is key. The ideal holder of this role will have experience in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns across both organic and paid media. Experience of Google Ads, Linked In advertising, X (Twitter) advertising and PPC are a must. This role will also be responsible for the Skills for Health website, so CMS experience, preferably in WordPress is key. The post-holder will have responsibility for the Skills for Health website, including SEO, content creation and management, and enhancing customer journeys to ultimately drive leads and revenue generation. Experience of email clients is also a must, preferably MailChimp. As a member of a small team, collaboration and the ability to multi-task, as well as work independently would be essential.
What does the daily work look like?
The average day is varied, from curating website content for new product or consultation launches, to collaborating with colleagues on planning future campaigns. The post holder should expect to get stuck in to creating email and social media comms, keeping the website up to date, and liaising with internal and external teams to achieve their goals.

My team is unique in that we serve all five brands of the organisation to achieve their business goals. This gives us excellent insight into the organisation as a whole, with some colleagues dedicated to one or two brands, and others supporting all five. This is a huge strength as it means we are able to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, whilst constantly challenging how we do things to ensure we are staying abreast of the latest developments and trends.

Key Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Executive for Health is responsible for the overall digital presence and performance of the Skills for Health brand. Working with the Marketing
Manager for health and the business teams, this person who holds this role is required to:
* Be an expert system and solution user, with high technical competency of digital marketing tools for example Moz, Google Analytics, Search Console etc.
* Have experience using Content Management Systems and online advertising tools such as Google Ads, MailChimp, WordPress etc.
* Be experienced in managing social media accounts, including implementing paid advertising campaigns.
* Be confident in reporting on and demonstrating the impact of digital marketing channels for conversion and revenue generation.
* Have a flexible approach to finding new technology solutions to support the needs of the business e.g. critical analysis of system functionality.
* Advise the Marketing Manager for Health on SEO and paid advertising strategies, including content creation, implementation and reporting.
* Have a working knowledge of SEO best practice, keyword research and implementation.
