We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our leadership team at DGSCMHT.
You will provide clinical leadership on our care pathways within Mental Health.
This will be achieved by providing supervision and specialist mental health advice and education to staff within the team, offering clinical sessions that provide short-term interventions based on psychological informed evidence-based therapies, and offering professional advice to clients/patients and their carers, as well as other professionals/partners.
Main Duties of the Job
* Being a key member of the leadership team to support clinicians in providing timely and evidence-based interventions.
* Providing expertise in occupational therapy assessments/interventions and specialist support to the team (OTs and trainee OTs).
* Developing working relationships with partner agencies and teams to ensure seamless progress of patients through the care pathways.
* Supporting the leadership team in reviewing care across the services.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of leading staff.
* Manage a defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence-based, service user-centered, health promotion, and relapse prevention-oriented principles and practices.
Time
* 3 years post-registration experience in mental health.
* Experience of being involved in service developments or audits.
Registration and Mentorship
* Registered Occupational Therapist.
