This vacancy is for a male support worker / personal assistant to join our clients support package to support them in their own home. We will be your legal employer on behalf of the client and you will not be asked to support other clients. All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6 month probationary period. Mon Fri, 8am 8pm £13.50 per hour, Mon Fri, 8pm 8am £14.50 per hour (waking night), Weekends £14.50 per hour 48hrs offered as 1 x full-time role or 2 x part-time roles (24hrs). This vacancy is for a male personal care assistant to provide complex care support in the Woodford Green, Essex area. The work pattern is either 2 x 12hr shifts per week for part-time, or 4 x 12hr shifts per week for full-time. Shifts patterns will be discussed during the interview. About the Client and Support Needed: You will be providing complex care support, as needed for our professionally and socially active, creative client to maintain independence, by assisting and facilitating our clients health, care, personal, social, professional, educational and voluntary goals. Essentially, the role requires you to respect our clients autonomy and support him in performing tasks he would perform himself if he were non-disabled, as well as provide all care needs including personal care. You will maintain and promote the safety of our client, both at home and whilst undertaking personal, social, professional and voluntary activities. Typical duties will include: · To provide all care needs, including personal care · To provide medication and equipment to our client as needed · To assist our client as needed getting to and from appointments · To maintain areas of our clients home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness · To check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels · To maintain and organise our clients clothing, belongings and equipment to his wishes whilst being careful and respectful · To ensure our clients holistic wellbeing is supported at all times as needed This list is not exhaustive. Face to face training and supervisions are paid at £13.50 per hour. Distance learning is paid at £1.44 per hour. Essential Requirements Identified for this Role: This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 - there is genuine occupational requirement to recruit male support workers only You will need to be a driver for this role and hold a full, UK driving licence. Our client has cats, therefore you should be comfortable around animals, with no cat allergies. Previous care experience - preferably supporting people with physical disabilities, Gastrostomy care, Ventilation and Moving and Handling. You should work well as part of a team, be supportive, kind, be able to follow instructions and policies, be organised, honest and have excellent communication skills.
