An Independent Reviewing Officer is required to join Stoke on Trent’s Children and Families service. This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.

As an Independent Reviewing Officer for the Children and Families Service you will be:
* Acting for the children they review as a conscientious and responsible corporate parent would act.
* Monitoring the performance of services on an ongoing basis in relation to their response to children in care and ensure any issues are escalated appropriately.
* Quality assuring every plan following each review meeting and considering that all appropriate options have been considered to meet the child’s identified needs.
* Focusing on children’s needs being met while being aware of resource/cost implications.
* Responsible for convening, chairing, and producing the decisions and minutes of the review meeting within prescribed timescales and ensuring that quality standards are met.
You are required to:
* Hold a Social Work England registration.
* Be eligible to work in the UK.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
* Have post-qualified experience.
* Possess a degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
