BRIEF DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to work as part of our Quality Team in Lisburn. The Quality Team in Decora are responsible for ensuring high quality products are received and produced according to the Companys Quality Management System. Quality Control Technicians work closely with Operations departments and Suppliers, completing checks from goods in to finished product and analysing information to make improvements. On a daily basis our Quality Control Technicians complete hands-on quality inspections on incoming goods and new product samples, conduct internal quality audits in line with ISO 9001 and compile data to report on findings. Decora are proud to be Investors in People and ISO accredited. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review and verify daily rescans. Communicate all pertinent quality issues to the Quality Control Supervisor and other relevant Supervisors / Managers. Address any process or product queries as directed by your Supervisor / Manager. Complete stock checks for potentially defective material. Complete paperwork and system stock segregation for non-conforming / Purge material. Raise Supplier Corrective Action requests as required with the Quality Control Supervisor / Manager. Review Internal and External quality trends, escalating issues or concerns where necessary. Take a Continuous Improvement approach to addressing quality issues within the area. Assist in preparation for ISO quality audits. Complete Goods in Checks as required. For existing and new product. Including inspection, measuring and testing as required. Complete Supplier Pre-shipment checks. Create and maintain supplier master samples. Create / update product specifications as required. Promote best practice, promote a right first-time approach and lead by example. Attend training as required for example new product training. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
