Salary : £42, - £46, p.a.

Job Purpose : To assist with the development and management of a high quality, efficient and effective maintenance and capital improvement service for Council housing stock as directed by the Repairs and Maintenance Manager and in accordance with the needs and priorities of the Council, Tenants and other stakeholders.
To assist the Repairs and Maintenance Manager in all aspects of the management of the Investment Management Team (Housing), including budgets, staff resourcing, delegation of work and supervision, and to assist in the aim of continuous improvement on service delivery.
To contribute to the ongoing HRA capital investment plan by actively building work packages, monitoring expenditure and ensuring value for money.
Lead on ongoing planning, development, monitoring and client management of all housing investment.
Develop and review policies and procedures on all aspects of housing investment: HRA capital programme, planned maintenance, routine servicing and day to day repairs to occupied and empty homes.

Requirements
1. Educated to degree level or appropriate qualification relevant to the functions of the post.
2. Knowledge of the legislation, policy and good practice guidance affecting Housing investment.
3. Experience of working within a housing / construction service environment.
4. Ability to travel across the Council area.
