Since 1967, Oxford Aunts has been dedicated to helping people stay in the homes they love. We provide high-quality, personalised home care services throughout Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. As Managing Director you will have complete responsibility and accountability for Oxford Aunts. You will be responsible for leading the business and ensuring all employees understand our vision, mission, and values. You will oversee strategic, financial, operational, quality and people objectives.
About us
With a revenue of £8.5m annually, a dedicated team of 12 in the office, approximately 275 carers, and a commitment to excellence, we pride ourselves on delivering the very best care to our clients. Reporting to the Group Managing Director for The Good Care Group and Oxford Aunts, you will be supported by a senior leadership team with a wealth of experience in the care sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the strategic plan for Oxford Aunts, driving new business growth and delivering market-leading home care services
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing new service offerings to meet evolving market needs
* Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality core services and maintain operational compliance with all relevant regulations
* Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key Performance Indicators
* Achieve budgeted revenue and EBITDA targets
* Maintain, or improve upon CQC rating of Good
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting for governance
* Foster a high-engagement, low-attrition team environment
* Meet client and employee satisfaction targets
Skills and experience
* Excellent working knowledge of the care sector with proven leadership experience
* Strong financial and commercial acumen
* Ability to develop and articulate a clear vision and drive organisational alignment
* Proven ability to manage and optimise operational processes
* A strong leader with a proven track record of building and motivating teams
* Confident and decisive with the ability to analyse complex situations and make sound judgments
* Ability to lead and manage organisational change effectively
* Proven ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* The role will involve raising the profile of Oxford Aunts in the local area and attending community events, so you must be based within an easily commutable distance from our Eynsham office
