Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery (part of the Hove Village Day Nursery Ltd. family) are seeking a QTS/EYTS qualified Early Years Teacher to join the team for a temporary contract (one term).
Working Hours: 40 hours p/w
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications

Qualifications:
* Early Years Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Status
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
* Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Duties:
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5
* Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
* Observe and assess children's development, identifying any areas of concern
* Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
* Ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
* Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
* To work alongside the senior nursery team to support the management of the setting ensuring that children, parents and the staff team work together to provide high quality childcare.
* To assume safeguarding responsibilities (which may include DDSL role see appendix A) for the room/rooms under your care and share accountability for ensuring all safeguarding duties and reporting are delivered in line with both internal polices and legislative requirements to maintain the safety and wellbeing of children in the nursery.
* To assist with managing the staff team effectively taking responsibility for the performance and development of your employees, including retention and monitoring HR issues including dealing with underperformance.
* To support with the delivery of nursery goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets.
* To monitor and assess the quality of provision in your rooms ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained.
