Over 140 families are registered members of the Social Supermarket side of the charity along with a further 50 plus individuals who attend our Saturday Kitchen service each week.
The charity is now in a position to recruit a Community Operations Manager who will be primarily responsible for managing the Community Pantry and Community Hub operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Community Operations Manager
ACCOUNTABLE TO: General Manager
HOURS: 20hrs per week (flexible working)
SALARY: £30,225 per annum pro rata (£16,120 based on 20 hrs)
Job Purpose
The Community Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective provision of support activities to service users accessing the Community Pantry and Community Hub.
You will be the main point of contact for service users, partner agencies, volunteers and donors. You will be key in maintaining services across multiple channels including telephone, email and face to face in line with CCLs policies and procedures, maintaining excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
You will be a positive ambassador, representing the charity to service users, external partners, funders and volunteers.

Main Responsibilities of the Role include:
Provide and enable holistic support activities for service users accessing the Community Pantry and Community Hub. Ensure a good range of food and household items are available; appropriate numbers of volunteers available to staff the Community Pantry; respond to member and general enquiries and ensure full adherence to food hygiene and H&S legislation.
Responsibilities to include:
Work with and report to the General Manager to implement Chance Changing Lives Strategic Mission and Vision
Perform Line Management activities to 2 members of staff, Van Driver/Logistics Co-Ordinator and Administrator:
Perform annual objective setting activities
Perform monthly accountability reviews and performance monitoring
Facilitate, develop and provide holistic support for service users experiencing financial and social difficulties including:
Conduct new member registrations and existing member reviews
Support members to develop self-resilience and support their progression
Maintain, update and regularly review member registration, and service attendance
Ensure referrals for members to other agencies are completed and followed up as appropriate
Implement specific activities provisioned through funding or projects specifically allocated to Community Pantry and Community Hub operations
Provide a dignified, confidential and safe space for all service users accessing Chance Changing Lives
Manage and maintain adequate stock and financial controls to provide access to a wide range of food and household items:
Ensure efficient stock control systems are in place and shop stock levels are maintained
Collate and perform financial reconciliation and banking activities for till receipts and cash donations
Ensure specific grant and funds assigned to the Community Pantry and Hub are understood and utilised in an appropriate and timely manner to the benefit of service users
Ensure Community Pantry and Hub operations are effectively staffed to deliver services.:
Provide support, advice and guidance to volunteers and undertake HIG (121) sessions.
Meet with volunteers (minimum quarterly) to ensure they are effectively supported, and any needs are addressed.
Ensure all volunteers are formally inducted, appropriately trained and mentored to deliver services.
Recruitment of volunteers as required by the charity to fulfil its service obligations.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety and Food hygiene regulations:
Ensure daily refrigerator temperatures are recorded.
Ensure premises management policy is appropriate, understood and adhered to.
Ensure Health and Safety controls are managed to include annual HSE Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments and Food Standards Assessments
Process Data in line with requirements of the Data Protection Act
