Role Overview As the Clinical Services Manager for the Nursing department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional clinical services. This role involves providing leadership, strategic planning, and operational management across the department while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Strategically plan and manage day-to-day operations within clinical services. Provide strong leadership to clinical staff, supporting hospital-wide initiatives. Lead the department under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services. Supervise, mentor, and motivate clinical staff, ensuring adherence to CQC standards. Oversee the department’s financial management and business planning. Work a minimum of one clinical shift per week to stay engaged with hands-on patient care. Ensure compliance with clinical governance requirements and maintain a professional, cost-effective service. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a dedicated professional with strong clinical and managerial expertise. Essential Requirements: Registered Nurse with a degree-level qualification or Level 1 Diploma in Nursing. Valid NMC registration. Extensive experience working in an acute UK hospital setting. Evidence of ongoing professional development (clinical and managerial). Comprehensive knowledge of clinical governance and NMC accountability standards.
