We are working with a reputable global manufacturer who is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fast-paced manufacturing environments, with the ability to provide comprehensive electrical support across the entire site.
The company provides a flexible 45-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, allowing you to manage your schedule as long as core business hours are covered.
Electrical Engineer Duties Include:
1. Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
2. Support all production departments across the site
3. Install and maintain electrical and electronic systems
4. Troubleshoot and repair machinery failures using PLCs and test equipment
5. Program and update PLCs (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi systems experience is a plus)
6. Upgrade outdated systems for improved reliability and consistency
7. Assist production when needed to meet output targets
8. Identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
9. Maintain records using maintenance software
10. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and audits
Qualifications & Experience:
1. 5+ years in a production support role
2. Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills
3. Level 3 qualification in electrical/electronic engineering (or similar)
4. Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, inverters, and 3-phase systems
5. Level 4/5 qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field (e.g. Mechatronics)
6. In-depth knowledge of automation systems, electrical control panels, PLC controllers, VSDs/VFDs, inverters, servo drives, and vibration feed controllers
7. Experience designing or modifying electrical safety systems (safety relays, interlocks) and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
8. Proficiency in using 2D electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPlan, or Edraw
